1. Clean each teat separately.
2. Discard the foremilk.

4. Discard excess milk in order to collect 2-3 ml milk (approx. ½ teaspoon) to react with equal amounts of Diafarm CMT-test.
5. Add 2-3 ml Diafarm CMT-test to each paddle.
6. By making circular movements with the paddle dish the content will be mixed. At the same time observe for reaction like viscous change of the mixture. Read the result within 10 second. The reaction may disappear after a short while. In case of doubt the test should be repeated.
7. Rinse paddle carefully after each test.

Weak positive result: Slight thickening of the solution and the reaction may disappear (after approx. 10 second). Evaluation: suspicion of mastitis.

Positive result: Thicskening, solution may appear slight gel-like. Evaluation: mastitis.

Strong positive result: Solution solidifi es, a gel is formed and becomes highly viscous. Evaluation: mastitis.
